Housing Advocate
Family Services is seeking a Full Time Housing Advocate to work with victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and other crimes find safe and affordable housing. The Housing Advocate will network with local landlords and housing authorities to connect victims and survivors in need with stable housing for them and their families. The Housing Advocate will work Monday – Friday with flexible hours totaling 40 hours per week. The position requires a bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience working with victims and/or housing OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills. Must have the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, and discretion in honoring client confidentiality while also having the ability to work with a diverse population of survivors and colleagues.
Must complete mandatory comprehensive victim services training prior to working with clients.
Reliable transportation and a valid PA driver’s license is required. Act 33/34 clearances required.
