Counselor Advocate (Victim Services) – Full Time

Family Services Incorporated is seeking a compassionate and motivated Counselor Advocate to join our Victim Services team. This full‑time position provides trauma‑informed support and advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and child abuse. The Counselor Advocate plays a vital role in promoting survivor safety, empowerment, and access to essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and trauma‑informed counseling to survivors

· Advocate for clients in court, hospitals, and law enforcement settings

· Assist survivors with safety planning and navigating community systems

· Connect clients to resources such as housing, counseling, therapy, and other supportive services

· Collaborate with internal staff and community partners to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications:

· Strong empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity

· Excellent communication and advocacy skills

· Experience in social services, victim advocacy, criminal justice, or a related field preferred

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required

Compensation & Benefits:

· Starting Wage: Full time $17 per hour based upon experience.
