Family Services Incorporated is seeking a Full Time Counselor Advocate for its Victim Services Program to work with child survivors of abuse and their non-offending care giver who are going through the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) interview process. The successful candidate will provide individual counseling and advocacy, court accompaniment, accompaniment to law enforcement interviews and prosecution appointments, and serve as a resource to the child and family. Bachelor’s degree and minimum of one year of direct service experience preferred. Knowledge and experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence also preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and time management skills. Must have the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, and discretion in honoring client confidentiality while also having the ability to work with a diverse population of survivors and colleagues.
Must complete mandatory comprehensive victim services training prior to working with clients.
Reliable transportation and a valid PA driver’s license is required. Act 33/34 clearances required.
