Intellectual Disabilities
Volunteers Possibilities:
* Provide companionship for individuals
* Participate with our Alternative Day Program
* Read, talk, listen to people who are differently abled
* Teaching skills to differently abled individuals
* Light upkeep in Community Homes
* Provide transportation
The Teen Center & Shelter
Volunteers Possibilities:
* Daily work geared to meet the needs of teens
* Provide supervision of youth in shelter
* Provide intake & discharge assessment and paperwork
* Design and facilitate special support group activities
* Provide referrals to community resources
* Provide life skills education
* Provide community outreach
* Provide transportation
* Participate in fundraising and awareness events
* Help create a welcoming environment and offer a listening ear
Victim Services
Volunteer Possibilities:
* Provide hotline coverage
* Accompany clients to emergency rooms, police departments and/or to court
* Assist with children’s group activities and childcare
* Co-facilitate support groups for domestic and/or sexual violence
* Provide transportation to medical facilities and legal proceedings
* Participate in fundraising and awareness events
65 hours of free training is provided for anyone wishing to provide direct services with victims
