PREVENTION. HEALING. JUSTICE.
The Center for Child Justice is Blair County’s Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), located in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The Center provides a child-friendly, neutral place for the forensic interview and forensic medical evaluation of child victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation.
As a neutral entity, the Center for Child Justice works closely with community agencies to facilitate a collaborative approach to child abuse investigations. By limiting the number of interviews and interviewers, children are less traumatized by the process.
In order to ensure collaboration and participation from members of the multidisciplinary team, the Center for Child Justice accepts referrals from prosecution, law enforcement and children and youth services.
