"Reliance Bank Presents Check to Family Services"

Altoona, PA - In keeping with its motto of being mutually rooted with the community, Reliance Bank officials today presented Family Services with a check in the amount of $4,000. This presentation represents a substantial effort on the part of Reliance Bank to invest in our community and to work as a corporate citizen to improve the quality of life we share.

These funds will be used for the Emergency Shelter for Men. This Shelter has been in operation since August, 2006. Since opening, there has not been a vacancy in any of the beds in the shelter for longer than six hours. Over 200 men have been served, many of which are in need of a fresh start in their lives.

"Reliance Bank and our employees have long enjoyed the opportunity to be of service beyond the walls of our bank. We are pleased to make these funds available and know that it will go a long way toward the continued good work of Family Services," stated Timothy P. Sissler, President and CEO.
