Family Shelter Supervisor

Family Services Incorporated has an immediate opening for a highly motivated individual to embody the mission and vision of the agency and to lead a team as the Family Shelter Supervisor.  This position will then transition to Program Director at 6 months leading to wage commensurate with the role.

The successful candidate will be professional, organized, compassionate, trauma informed and have strong interpersonal skills. Responsible for the direct supervision of staff and operation of the facility. The supervisor will perform administrative work in the areas of client advocacy, staff/volunteer training and workload coordination, and general facility operations.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years managerial experience working with at risk populations that may include subsidized housing or a congregate setting, or related experience OR Associates degree with 3 years managerial experience working with at risk populations or related experience. Must have experience in building respectful, empowering relationships with clients specifically in relation to achieving housing and employment. Must be self-directed, detail oriented, and have the ability to maintain confidentiality and strong boundaries. Capacity to navigate multiple technologies and grant experience is a plus.

Starting at a minimum of $19.00 per hour dependent upon experience and skills. Health; Vision; Dental insurances available. Vacation and Sick leave plus 10 paid Holidays. 401(k) with match; Life/LTD. Must have a valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass physical, drug screen and background checks.
