Internships
in the Developmental Disabilities Program are available in our Adult
Day Program and Community Residential Facilities Program. We provide
training as required and permit interns to work along side other counselors.
Each
perspective intern needs to obtain a Criminal History and Child
Abuse Investigation as well as a physical. These items would be
the financial responsibility of the intern.
Supervision
is provided consistently throughout the internship. Coordination
must be established between the Director of the Developmental Disabilities
Program and the school liaison or internship advisor.
No
intern can do research with the people we serve. We have a Confidentiality
Policy and are mandated Child Abuse Reporters.
If
interested, please contact Director Developmental Disabilities Program
Director at 814-944-3583.
